About your instructor

Mark Hewison, the proprietor of Flying Colours was born in Whitby, North Yorkshire in 1969 and grew up determined to succeed. Dairy farming led him to the Scottish Borders then developing a very successful retail business in Aberdeen. Ten years later and comfortable with his success he decided to challenge himself again by training to qualify as a driving instructor.

Lots of hard work and training paid off when he qualified as a Department of Transport Approved Driving Instructor (car) or DOT A.D.I. for short

Away from work he enjoys scuba diving and is an active instructor with the Scottish Sub Aqua Club – Grampian Branch. It’s a fulfilling sport that has taken him to many interesting places in Scotland and abroad. His other passion is motor sport especially quad biking and rallying.
